Duncan's Body Control Pilates is a must for any regular athlete. The essential core work it has taught me has been an invaluable part of my training programme. Taught in a marvellous atmosphere created by Duncan in his bespoke studio, it's the part of my training week I most look forward to.

I first came to Pilates in Oct 2007 on the recommendation of my Chiropractor following a lower back injury in June 2007. Originally the main aim was strengthening my back to prevent a recurrence of the injury and enable me to complete the London Marathon the following April. What I didn’t expect was the performance benefits that came with a stronger, more stable core, particularly in endurance events where I feel stronger in the later stages of a race. In the 10 months since starting Pilates I have set personal bests at half marathon, marathon (by 29 minutes!) and Olympic distance triathlon. My Pilates sessions are now quite literally at the core of my training and are the one session in the week I will not miss.

I would highly recommend Duncan as a well qualified, knowledgable and enthusiastic Pilates teacher. His classes are well planned and progressive and exercises can be adapted for individuals as necessary. Many of my patients attend his classes in order to gain further ongoing core stability as well as general strength and mobility following a course of Physiotherapy. Duncan is able to advise on the strengthening of particular muscle groups using his extensive knowledge of muscular anatomy. I have attended classes regularly for over two years and enjoy the variety, progression and use of resistive equipment.

After 12 years of back pain DO Pilates has revolutionised my life. Friendly, fun and hugely beneficial, I cannot recommend Duncan highly enough.
